There have been a rash of Blog posts about the release of Family Tree Maker 2011. It looks like I last visited the subject of lineage linked database programs
back in January of 2009. For those of you who are not used to that

Event database program

One of the things I feel the need for as a research tool is an event database program, and I wonder if anyone else feels the need for auch a thing.Most lineage-linked genealogy programs allow one to enter and search events relating to people, but I see the need, in addition, to be able to search for people relating to events.In other words, one would enter events, and enter information about people who participated in the events, whether related to each other or not. Cleaning up the database

I was prompted by a post in the Legacy Users group to check my database for duplicate and inconsistent entries.I have collected and collated individual contributions, downloaded GEDCOMs and pulled in family trees from a variety of sources.
