Michael was born in 1901. He lived his entire life on the family farm in Caherduff,Cong, County Mayo. An intensely private man, he lavished his attention on his beloved horses. Michael never married. He managed to cause a furor when he "gave" the farm to a friend rather than to one of the Fahys.
