Anne Browne, born in 1907, was the youngest child of John Browne and Mary Nallly Browne. After having lived and worked in Dublin for a good many years, she returned to Caherduff, Cong, to care for her oldest sister Kit, who was ailing. After Kit's death, Anne moved to the town of Ballinrobe.
