Because I am in the business of helping people create Legacy video biographies and tribute videos, people often want to share eulogies they have written for others. Yesterday a friend of mine sent me one that she had written for her mother, who passed away earlier this year. It was a three page Word document that had me in tears. Not because of any sadness for this woman’s passing but for the joy of having a daughter who knew her so well that she could so beautifully capture the essence of who s

Chat Room Invite To All Members

I'd like to take the time to invite all the new members (and old) to visit the chat room.

This is a great place to meet some of the other researchers and to receive a warm welcome to the site.

There is usually someone there who is willing to help with research, give advise,or just shoot the breeze for a few minutes.

I've been a member of Genealogywise since the summer of 2009 and have enjoyed learning and helping others in chat.

Don't be afraid we don't bite....lol

There are scheduled chats. Check the

4 o'clock tea

My mother was from Durham England, thus the title - " 4 o'clock tea"  .  I have alot of  information on my families, dates of birth, death, names and places of birth, etc.  What I do not have a lot of is stories and happenings . I have recently reconnected to my neighborhood and town where I and my parents and 4 sisters and 2 brothers grew up for the early years of our lives. It is fun to hear from friends that we lived around and be updated on events past and present.  Something I vividly remember

For some years now, I've sought information on my ancestors, Duncan & Mary KENNEDY (nee BUTTER ; likely the same Mary Butter, born 1787, who was the daughter of Archibald Butter & Peggy Cameron; Peggy was from Kilmallie it appears.), who were married in Keppoch, 6th February, 1808, with the marriage recorded in the Parish records of Kilmonivaig.  I have the extract from the wedding register and Duncan was a fisherman by profession. Their son JOHN KENNEDY, who gave his hometown as GLENCOE, ARGLYL

Yes, science in action on Google+ Longest Hang Out.  We watched the start of Sea Monkeys and the

night before we discussed the little critters and the reason for liking them verses Triops.

Triops can be found here:

Sea Monkeys can be found :

Sea-Monkeys®: The Official Site

We named 8 of them and are registering them. What a fun thing.  I think I am going to get some for some
     grandchildren.

Sarah Elizabeth Harrison

I am looking for information on Sarah (Sadie) Elizabeth Harrison-born 1896 in England.  Her parents were George Wm. Harrison & Elizabeth Ann Smithson.  Sarah immigrated to Canada in 1907 with her father and his spouse, Elizabeth Mary Lingwood.  Sarah would have been about 11 years old.  Family members say that Sarah was never talked about-her mother and a sister were left in England.  Sarah had a son, Garnet Featherstone.  Would appreciate any info on Sarah and/or Garnet Featherstone or the Feat
