I am looking for Marilyn Austin Smith and/or Celia Smith who compiled and researched a booklet (self published, I believe) in 1994 called: "Mary Gardner and Her Family". It included history and geneology of Gardner, Sweeten, Luckham, etc. I wish to know who hired them to do the research. They could possibly be from Salt Lake City, Utah.

A news report today about changes in the "privacy settings" on Facebook got me thinking about genealogy files again. Facebook is the antipode of privacy. Just this morning, in looking at my Facebook News Feed, I see notes about people going back to work, a wedding announcement (yes, a real wedding announcement with a request to RSVP) report of a trip to Hawaii, new clothes for baby, and a whole lot of posts about how people are feeling today. Anna Blenkiron Donated Tot Lot - Pekin, IL

There is a little corner park, called a tot lot, on the corner of 601 Park Avenue in Pekin, Tazewell County, Illinois. It is the only park on Park Avenue, which probably received its name because it terminates at the much larger Mineral Springs Park.Blenkiron Park is a tiny little quarter of an acre, part of the fifth largest park district in the state of Illinois. Copy large genealogy documents at very high resolution

OK folks, this gets pretty technical, but by using this method, you can digitize large documents with very high resolution. The Diploma above has some very small printed detail and is 16 x 21 inches. If you click on either image you can get an idea of the quality of the image, although you cannot see all of the detail available without zooming in. Searching for ancestors/family from Fifeshire(I believe) I am the g/grandson of Andrew Bell Peebles b1853 and Mary/Jane Mentiplay.Siblings-Archibald 1851,Robert 1855,David 1858,Catherine 1860,John 1863. Possibly all born in Pittenweem. I believe that any living relatives will come from one or more of these siblings.
