Robert Freeman McCLEARN was my great-great-great grandfather. He was born in Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia on 04 Dec. 1824 to James McCLEARN and Mary FREEMAN and died 05 Dec. 1900 in Iowa Falls. He married Adeline WHITE on 07 Oct. 1854 in Webster, Androscoggin County, ME. She was born in 1830 in Webster to Charles WHITE and Bethiah ELLIS and died on 26 March, 1915 in Iowa Falls.Robert F. McCLEARN and two of his brother-in-laws (Charles and Daniel WHITE) were among the earliest pioneers to Ellis Twp., Hardin County arriving in 1854. Adeline followed a few years after.
