Children of John Whitbread c.1914

This photo shows Gladys, Alwyn, Francis, Robert and Henry, children of John Whitbread, with his wife Sarah Ann Winton. Because John and Sarah Ann were never married, all the children took their mother's surname of Winton, but by rights it should all have been Whitbread. My grandfather was Francis, in the centre of the back row.
