In this photo Betty Jo and Joann Bruner with their children The original home was located near Beggs Oklahoma. After receiving their land Loney found an abandoned building and had it trucked on to the property where he reassembled it. He dug a well out back of the house and there Anna and him raised their 6 children. Years later my mom Bonnie would say " we never knew we were poor; life just seemed as it should be". The children had a pond on the property and their little feet created a well worn path to the pond. Mom says they'd often make 5 or 6 trips a day to the pond to cool off. Annie passed away in this home after years of battling Tuberculosis. Her husband Loney and Son Billy were by her side when she took her last breath he younger kids just outside the house. Mom recalls her daddy calling them in after her passing and saying "Your mom's gone now". Her passing would split up the family. Billy was in the service and Bonnie about to finish high school. The younger children stayed with their Aunts. Adaline and Betty attended an Indian boarding school. Loney never remarried. Anna was in her 40's when she passed.
