What has been the experience of the 3 day free trial of the World Vital Records site?
I've been trying to "use" the 3 day free "World Vital Records" site for the last 2 days. I followed the instructions to get a sign-in. Never got an e-mail or any type of acknowledgment. I wonder if anyone else had problems. I had hoped to explore the site. The free offer is a great way to hook new members, but my experience leaves me doubtful.
How thrilled I would be if WorldVitalRecords would actually concentrate on acquiring the civil and church vital records which are not yet readily available. Not calling a scanned book a ‘database’ would be a bonus.
My main wish for WVR: evolving from a haphazard sharing of what was easy to obtain in the past few years to a systematic acquisition of vital records most needed by FamilyLink members and potential clients. Hopefully the WVR team is aware of the strengths of Ancestry and New FamilySearch and other international sites posting digital images of original vital records.
