I'm reading Grand Mothers by Nikki Giovanni, a really interesting collection of essays, short stories and poetry that she edited in the 1990s. I've always loved her poetry, and I grabbed this up when I saw it in my used bookstore. Its nice because I can read it slowly, as that how my kids let me read, LOL ;)Its cool, esp as I research my roots to read these words by people about their grandmothers, my relationship with my grandmothers is a mixed bag, but I make sure that my kids know their grandparents, and have good memories and stories of them.
