When Sam Cooke wrote the lyrics to the award winning hit ‘What a Wonderful World’ in 1959, he was telling us that he ‘did not know much about Genealogy’. You might now be humming the tune to yourself , frantically searching for the word ‘genealogy’ and you would be correct in confirming, it is not there. • My post is just about the correlation between the knowledge of History, Geography and Genealogy. Sam Cook the singer gives me a nice introduction and an ending to which I can add something brief about him , that’s all. It’s just my style    :-)

  •   I am confused===Sam Cooke was a singer-- "You Send Me"  was one of his songs-- are we talking about the same Sam Cooke ???
