John Sander Myhre was b. 30 May 1900 Kongsgaden or Osteraag, Stavanger, Norway, and baptised 22 Jul 1900 St. Petri Kirke, Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway, the son of Johan Gustav Myhre and Sandra Bernoldine Gundeson.He arrived in New York on 21 Aug 1923, and md 5 Apr 1930 in Cook Co, IL to Agnes Weidlich. They had one son, John Edmund Myhre b. 1931, d. 2000 in Spokane WA.Apparently, Agnes died not long after that, and her husband, Jobn Sanders Myhre, has not been heard of since. I have hit a brick wall trying to find him and hopefully, some descendants.can anyone help me?Thanks in advanceGloria Kay Vandiver Inman

You must be from my hometown of Spokane. Howdy neighbor. John Edmund Myhre was my 1st cousin's 1st husbandl. I am doing this for his children, specifically. Rebecca Jane Becky". They knew/know almost nothing about their father's family. I have been able to find quite a lot really,except for what happened to Jom Sanders Myhre after Agnes Weidlich Myhre died. Actually, the obit is not quite right. Rev Al Weidlick and Helen Liggit were siblings of Agnes Weidlick and would be uncle and aunt to John Edmund Myhre. I am to understand that the only surviving today is Ref Al Weidlick, and the Rebecca and Timothy are attempting to contact him for more iformation.

Gloria According to the obit for John Edmund Myhre's obit, he was survived by a brother Al Widelich and sister Hellen Liggett, sons Timothy Allen Myhre and Theodore Andrew and daughter Rebecca Jane Myhre. He divirced his wife in 1979. Let me know if you want copies of John's obits.
