Interested in learning more about My Canvas to create your family history book. Today at www.thearmchairgenealogist.com Thomas MacEntee of Geneabloggers guests posts, and tells us of his personal experience with this program by Ancestry.com.
Thanks William for your comment and I can definitely appreciate My Canvas won't meet everyone's needs, Thank goodness there are plenty of other options.
I was actually a little disappointed by My Canvas.
First, there only seems to be pricing for the US! Other photo book companies seem to notice that there is a wider world in which some of us live! Perhaps there is not extra charge for shipping to Auchermuchty?
Second, the website seems a bit shaky - bits of images are missing.
Third, there are no real examples that I could find of family history books, Yes, there is an example of 'Dad', but not of, say, 'The Mcgonigles of Auctermuchy from 1750 - 1900', or whatever.
It looks like a bought in programme, not very well adapted. (sorry - program!)
But thanks for bringing Thomas' blog to our attention.
