When I do research through microfilm, I charge the travel expenses to the genealogy center plus the price of the microfilm and any copies of documents requested by my clients.Besides that, I charge $30 per hour. I give the results in both a GEDCOM file and a word document with family trees and family groups. Since you have already done genealogy work, and can read Italian, you should be fine, but if you need to, I also offer translation services from Italian to English.
I can send you more detailed info in an email, if you find yourself needing my help.
Good luck in your new ancestral adventure!
Each microfilm order is $5-6. It might take many microfilms to do all the researches.
I don't know about the library near you, you need to ask them if they offer this service.
The microfilms need to be ordered from the Family history library catalog of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
They get shipped from Salt Lake City, UT and it can take 4-8 weeks to receive them.
Do you speak Italian?
These microfilms need to be ordered, and then researched, in facilities that have microfilm readers and naturally it is all in Italian.
I was born and raised in Italy for 30 years and can read documents in both Italian and Latin.

Was he born exactly in Matera or in a surrounding town?
I see that the "Registro dello Stato Civile" of Matera from 1809 to 1925 have been microfilmed.
Do you know when your great grandfather was born? What was his name?
Yes, it is my passion to help others find new ways to share their stories, and their heritage. I do it first for my family, and then as a job. I am both a genealogist and a personal publishing consultant.
This was a template. I designed the background for my twitter page http://www.twitter.com/CavaGenealogy.
There are various websites that give you free blog templates, you just need to google them.
I want to design my blog spot though, to make it fit more to what I do, but for lack of time, I am keeping the template.
Also, all the genealogy charts I create can be used as templates where you just drag and drop your pictures and change the info.
Thank you Kat!
I see that you have an Italian last name.
Where did your family come from?
I am Italian, my maiden name is Santoriello. This chart is for my husband and his cousins.
